Cost of Blepharoplasty
If you were thinking about getting blepharoplasty, now may be a good time. The average surgeon's fee for blepharoplasty was $2,741 in 2011 down from $3,134 in 2007. That's a drop of almost 15%! (Data from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.) Please note that the surgeon's fee does not include the cost of the operating facility, such as a surgical center or hospital, nor does it include the cost of anesthesia. Those items will add to the cost and you should ask your plastic surgeon the all-in cost.
Please be aware that costs and fees vary from region to region. Surgeons' fees can also vary within a given area, so it pays to do your homework. As with many things, shopping on price isn't always the best way to go. Choose a surgeon based on skills, reputation, experience and training and not just on the lowest cost.
