Facelift Consultation
What To Expect
What to expect when you have your facelift consultation
The facelift consultation is a time for communication with your plastic surgeon. This communication should be two-way so that your plastic surgeon understands your wants and so that you understand what your plastic surgeon recommends and why.
During your facelift consultation appointment, your plastic surgeon will examine your face, noting your skin tone, skin elasticity, facial proportions, and effects that aging has had on your face, such as drooping or sagging. Your plastic surgeon will suggest the type of facelift that is best for your particular situation. Other procedures, in addition to a facelift, may be suggested, depending on the results you want to achieve. Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), browlift surgery, facial peels, or facial implants are sometimes recommended to enable you to reach your goal.
Facelift computer imaging
It is becoming more common for plastic surgeons to use computer imaging to show you how you might look after surgery. If your plastic surgeon uses computer imaging, a series of photographs will be taken at different angles and then fed into the computer for use in the imaging software.
