Facelift Surgery (Rhytidectomy) for 71-Year Old Woman

Case Details

This 71 year old woman underwent a facelift and upper and lower blepharoplasty. Her before and after photos show her prior to, and two years after her surgery. She had no surgery on her brows, which were noted to be asymmetric pre-operatively. A Facelift is a procedure used to improve sagging facial skin, loose neck skin and jowls by removing excess fat, tightening muscles, and reshaping skin. A facelift requires skin incisions; however, the incisions in front of and behind the ear are usual inconspicuous. Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure used to remove fat, excess skin, and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Blepharoplasty can correct drooping of upper lids and puffy bags.
