James M. Nachbar, M.D., F.A.C.S. of Scottsdale, AZ is a plastic surgeon who has built a reputation based on his extensive education and experience in cosmetic plastic surgery. He has been performing cosmetic plastic surgery for more than 15 years and is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Prior to going into private practice, he was Chief of Plastic Surgery at The University of New Mexico where he directed other faculty and was responsible for training residents in plastic surgery. Education is a two-way street with Dr. Nachbar; he listens carefully to his patients, and has learned from them about their goals and desires, as well as how plastic surgery has improved their lives. He knows that educating patients is one of the most critical elements in delivering a high level of patient care. His goal is to help patients understand every facet of their treatment and recovery so they will know what to expect and when to expect it.
During an initial complimentary consultation, patients are informed of the nature of the available treatments, including alternatives, risks, potential complications and, of course, benefits. In addition, the office has written material, videos, and video imaging. Rather than focusing exclusively on procedures and treatments, Dr. Nachbar works with patients to clarify their goals and concerns. He knows that a decision to modify face or figure is not one to be entered into lightly and takes the time to build a relationship of trust and understanding.
Dr. Nachbar has a special interest in body contouring, especially the “Post-Baby Tune-Up”, for women whose bodies have been affected by pregnancy. A Post Baby Tune Up may involve any combination of liposuction, tummy tuck and/or breast augmentation. It will help you get back your pre-pregnancy figure. His current practice is limited to cosmetic plastic surgery, and he is not affiliated with Medicare or any insurance plans.
