Dr. Feldman is a founding director of the Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute. He is a fellowship–trained corneal specialist and treats diseases affecting the external eye. He is also an accomplished eye surgeon who performs the various procedures and techniques that have been developed over the last 20 years. In 1981 Dr. Feldman performed a radial keratotomy procedure, which was the first refractive surgery of any kind performed in Broward County.
Dr. Feldman is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Feldman is a life–long resident of Florida and received his B.S. and M.D. degrees from the University of Miami. Following medical school graduation in 1961, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. After a course in Basic Ophthalmic Sciences at Harvard, he completed a residency in ophthalmology at The Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Feldman is fellowship trained. A year–long fellowship at the Proctor Foundation in San Francisco prepared Dr. Feldman to treat, correct, and manage diseases affecting the external eye, especially the cornea.
