A native of Chatham, NJ, Dr. Buhrer attended medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA where he obtained his degree and completed post-graduate training in general surgery. He completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The University of Texas in Galveston, TX.
During his residency, Dr. Buhrer distinguished himself as a specialist in the innovative treatment of pediatric burns. He then completed his cosmetic surgery training with world-renowned Dr. Baker in Miami, FL. He serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery at North Arundel Hospital.
Dr. Buhrer is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the John Staige Davis Society of Plastic Surgeons.
